Hexarelin Acetate (also known as Examorelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide belonging to the growth hormone secretagogue (GHS) family. It is a potent agonist of the ghrelin receptor (GHSR) and stimulates the release of growth hormone (GH) from the anterior pituitary. Compared to other GHRPs, Hexarelin exhibits strong GH-releasing activity and enhanced receptor binding affinity, making it a valuable tool in research involving endocrine regulation, GH secretion, and metabolic signaling.

Questions
Hexarelin Acetate Common Questions
What’s pIC50?
pIC50 is the negative log of the IC50 value when converted to molar. That is, pIC50=-log(IC50).
What’s Kd?
Dissociation consent (Kd) reflects the affinity of a compound for its target. In some cases, it can be equivalent to Ki.

Targets & IC50
Targets:
Growth Hormone Secretagogue Receptor (GHSR)
GH/IGF-1 Axis
Calcium Signaling Pathway
IC50:
Not applicable (Hexarelin is a receptor agonist peptide, not an inhibitory compound)
In vitro
METHODS: Rat pituitary cells and GH-secreting cell lines were treated with Hexarelin Acetate (0–100 nM) for 1–24 hours. Growth hormone secretion and intracellular signaling were evaluated using ELISA assays and calcium flux measurements.
RESULTS: Hexarelin Acetate stimulates growth hormone release in a dose-dependent manner via activation of the ghrelin receptor (GHSR). It enhances intracellular calcium signaling and promotes robust GH secretion. Compared to other GHRPs, Hexarelin demonstrates higher potency and receptor affinity, with sustained GH-releasing effects. No significant cytotoxicity is observed at commonly used experimental concentrations. [1]
