In vitro

METHODS: C2C12 myoblasts and primary skeletal muscle cell models were treated with SLU-PP-332 (0–10 μM) for 24–72 hours. Gene and protein expression related to oxidative metabolism were evaluated using qPCR and Western blot analysis, along with mitochondrial function assays.

RESULTS: SLU-PP-332 activates estrogen-related receptor (ERR) signaling in a dose-dependent manner, leading to increased expression of genes associated with mitochondrial biogenesis and oxidative phosphorylation. It enhances metabolic activity and promotes a shift toward oxidative muscle fiber characteristics. No significant cytotoxicity is observed within commonly used experimental concentration ranges. [1]
